Shuriken at Spring Carnival

First cheer team, first comp, first winning feelings!

After innumerable lockdowns, change of venues, and lots of comings and goings, our first youth cheer team Shuriken finally hit the purple floor at the 2022 Spring Carnival competition, competing in Novice Youth Cheer.

With the newest, and smallest, team in the competition, with just 7 members and only 10 one hour training sessions, our girls smashed out a fun and energetic routine to the joy of the audience, judges and most especially the team itself! We didn’t win our division, but everyone left the floor feeling like winners and inspired to learn new skills to bring back to competitions in 2023.

Congratulations girls! You made us all incredibly proud!
